Super Duplex Steel 2507 contains approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum, and minute elements such as nitrogen and manganese. The two-phase alloy inherits the best characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, exhibiting very good pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance in chloride-bearing environments. Mechanically, it provides tensile strength of up to 1000 MPa, yield strength of approximately 650 MPa, and good ductility. Its enhanced toughness, high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion qualify it for rigorous engineering and industrial applications.
