Neith Metals, with headquarters in Alexandria, Egypt, is a world-class producer and distributor of top-grade Super Duplex Steel Bars and Rods. These products, with their remarkable strength, resistance to corrosion, and durability under stressful conditions, are best suited to applications in oil and gas, marine, chemical process, and energy industries. By adopting exact engineering and global standards of quality, Neith Metals assures each product offers exceptional reliability and longevity. With an emphasis on customization, timely delivery, and customer care, the company delivers customized metal solutions that respond to the changing requirements of businesses competing in the world’s toughest environments.
Super Duplex Steel Bars and Rods are stainless high-alloy steels that have about 20–30% chromium, 4–7% nickel, and 3–5% molybdenum content with the balance as iron. The properties from this composition are good pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance, especially in chloride environments. The alloys are mechanically characterized with tensile strength up to 800 MPa, good toughness, and thermal fatigue and oxidation resistance. Their two-phase microstructure (austenitic-ferritic) provides the optimum combination of strength and ductility, so they are ideal for heavy-duty applications subject to high pressure, temperature, and corrosive medium.

Super Duplex Steel rods are generally resistant to galvanic corrosion due to their high chromium and molybdenum content. However, they can still be susceptible when coupled with highly dissimilar metals in certain environments.
Yes, Super Duplex Steel bars can be welded using appropriate techniques and filler materials. Careful control of heat input and post-weld heat treatment is essential to avoid degradation of their mechanical properties.
Super Duplex Steel rods are available in various sizes, ranging from small diameters to large rods, typically up to 300mm or more. Finishes can include hot-rolled, cold-drawn, polished, or ground, depending on the application requirements.
Super Duplex Steel Bars and Rods have extensive applications in chemical processing, oil and gas, marine engineering, and power generation because of their superior mechanical and anti-corrosive characteristics. They are perfect for offshore platforms, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, pipelines, and desalination plants—environments where high strength coupled with chloride-induced corrosion resistance is absolutely essential. Their superior fatigue strength guarantees long service life even when subjected to cyclic loading conditions. In addition to this, the Super Duplex stainless steels are also utilized in pulp and paper mills, ship construction, and water treatment facilities, providing long-term reliability, lower maintenance costs, and enhanced performance in highly corrosive and harsh operating conditions.
